WHALERS END OF YEAR; 2021

Whalers CS:GO Team Open To Explore Free Agency

Boston, MA (November 22, 2020): On November 6th, it was determined internally from the Whalers majority owner and investor, Sean Roche, that the organization would not be able to offer an extension to its top ranked Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) team. Due to the ongoing strain of the global pandemic, the Whalers parent company, Greenhouse Agency, has been severely impacted and forced to sideline the organization. As we continue to navigate our ongoing efforts of our Series A, we look ahead to our return and expansion in esports and gaming content in the near future.

“I’m grateful for the year that I’ve been working with our CS:GO team. Our players have been exemplary professionals in and out of the server. Though a tough directive to follow, I remain optimistic for our [Whalers] soon return to CS:GO and further expansion to additional esports titles. I will continue to support our players’ and coach’s future in CS:GO under our banner and beyond. ” - Diego Freitas; Co-Founder, Chief Gaming Officer.

Ahead of their contract end date of December 6th, 2020, our CS:GO team is fielding offers as free-agents. Currently #4 North America - #31 Global HLTV, #40 ESL Pro Tour.
